These maps show how up to 50% of America might have been set aside in wilderness reserves and buffer zones if the Biodiversity Treaty had been ratified by the U.S. Senate. Less detailed versions of these maps were used to stop the ratification of the treaty on the Senate floor 1 hour before the Senate voted on the treaty. Map has a full explanation on the back.
